HI, I’M LAURA!

A woman in glasses and a green top standing on a desk with arms raised and smiling. She is wearing a coral lace skirt and behind her is a wall with various pictures, pins, and decorations. There are cups with scissors and pens on the desk.

FUN FACTS ABOUT LAURA:

+I am originally from Michigan! I credit my Midwestern background for my love of lakes, the game of euchre and the ability to brave all slight variations on 75 and sunny. ; )

+I worked as a roofer the summer before I left home for college! I love physical work and learning new things so it was one of the most memorable jobs I had before becoming a professional photographer.

+I am an animal LOVER! I have a rescue wheaton terrier, Joy, who is absolutely my pride and joy. Pun intended! : )

+As a creative outlet, when not photographing, I like to work with clay and glass. I throw pots and make stained glass gifts as meditative hobbies.

+I took photography courses in college, but my actual degree is a BA in Industrial Design! I'm more right-brained but still have a little lefty engineer in there too.

LAURA’S “WHY”

“ I make it a high priority to earnestly connect with my clients, gain their trust, and help them feel comfortable in front of a camera which paves the way for us to create photos that really remind them of the way they felt on their wedding day! My clients want their day captured with beautiful candids and fun-loving portraits that don’t feel overly posed and that is my jam!

As far as aesthetic, my photos are bright and cheerful, and thoughtfully framed. I love integrating color in perfect doses into my shots and creating memories for my clients that are as beautiful as they are. My approach can be described as both photojournalistic and editorial.
