MEET ALEC!
FUN FACTS ABOUT ALEC:
+It's my absolute favorite thing to go to a new place or country and try out the local street food. I love to try anything that I can't eat back home or is interesting to me. My favorite so far has to be Peking Duck Soup from Beijing, China.
+My zodiac is Sagittarius, which is probably why I love traveling so much.
+I've been a videographer and photographer for various events and DJs in the EDM genre for the past 3 years.
+I've been DJing as a side hobby and teaching aspiring artists for the last 7 years.
+ I am half Japanese and half American. I speak Japanese fluently.
+ I took a gap year in Breckenridge, Colorado to become essentially a snowboard bum. I wanted to test myself and see if I could learn a new skill that I completely had no experience in beforehand. I was able to go backcountry and take on double blacks within a year and snowboarded I believe 181 days out of 193 days of the ski season each year.

ALEX’S “WHY”
“My mom recorded and documented everything about me growing up from my first school drawing to videos of me being part of a school play. Being able to go back and look through things that I didn't remember about myself was such a trip. While looking through all the different albums and Sony Hi8 cassette video tapes I noticed a VHS in the very back that said wedding video. I had to go and purchase a used VHS player from eBay to even watch the tape, but when I did I was in awe. I didn't realize at the time how lucky I was to be able to watch my parent's wedding video 35 or so years after it happened. I realized that as a wedding videographer, I am not only making a video for the couple, but for their parents, grandparents, their eventual children, and their eventual grandchildren. I realized that what I capture during the wedding day is carried on for generations. I adopted a new sense of importance and purpose to my work that I previously hadn't seen and now always approach a wedding with the mindset of capturing something that would be shared across generations. In that way, I believe wedding videography brings something special that other fields of videography don't and that is largely why I love capturing weddings. ”
